The Office of Secretary is administered by the Department's chief administrator officer, who oversees all scientific operations as organized by the Office of Wildlife and the Office of Fisheries. The Secretary also has ultimate authority over the operation of the Department's fiscal and business matters as administered by the Office of Management and Finance. Support operations of the department report directly to the Secretary. These include the Enforcement Division and the Seafood Promotion and Marketing Board, as well as the Department's Legal Section.
- Enforcement Division
Col. Winton Vidrine, Chief The Enforcement Division is responsible for enforcing laws enacted by the Louisiana Legislature relative to fish and wildlife resources and boating safety regulations, as well as federal regulations pertaining to migratory birds and endangered species.
- Louisiana Seafood Promotion and Marketing Board
Ewell Smith, Executive Director The responsibility of the Louisiana Seafood Promotion and Marketing Board is to strengthen and expand Louisiana's commercial fishery-related industries and cultivate new markets for the state's seafood products.

The Office of Management and Finance oversees the management and financial operations of the Department. The Office is administered by the Undersecretary who directs and is responsible for accounting and budget control, contracts, grants management, program analysis, personnel management, information processing systems, procurement, licensing, socioeconomic research, general administrative and public information services including the Louisiana Conservationist magazine, publications and news, audio-visual services and the LDWF Information and Resource Library.
- Fiscal
Wynnette Kees, Deputy Undersecretary The Fiscal Section is staffed by 17 employees and is responsible for all financial operations of LDWF. The main goal of the Fiscal Section is to achieve compliance with all applicable laws, rules, policies and regulations governing the functions managed. This section develops and implements fiscal controls, provides advice, assistanceand training and standardizes procedures. In addition,the Services Unit provides mail, receiving and duplicating services for the headquarters offices.

June Gillis, Director At Wildlife and Fisheries, our most valuable resource is our human resources, the people who direct all of our other resources and get the work done on behalf of the Louisiana taxpayers, users and consumers of Louisiana's natural resources and products.

- Licensing
Janis Landry, Director The Licensing Section serves as the information hub for more than 1 million customers who recreationally fish, hunt, commercially fish and use state lands for non-consumptive purposes. The staff provides customers with state, federal and commission laws, rules and regulations that govern fishing, hunting and registration of boats in Louisiana.
- Property Control
Gail Allatto, Director The Property Control Section is responsible for managing LDWF's Property Control, Risk Management Insurance Claims and Fleet Management programs. The section is staffed with four full-time employees.
- Public Information
Marianne Burke, Director The Public Information Office (PIO) handles the primary communication programs for LDWF. These programs cover a variety of communication avenues including publications (regulations, books, pamphlets, newsletters, etc), Louisiana Conservationist magazine, news and media relations, audio-video productions, Web site, public resource library, public relations and special events.
- Socioeconomic Research and Development
David Lavergne, Director The Socioeconomic Research and Development Section conducts economic research pertaining to wildlife and fishery resources, provides support to other department programs and represents LDWF on various study groups, task forces and committees.

The Office of Wildlife consists of two divisions, the Wildlife Division and the Coastal & Nongame Resources Division.
- Coastal & Nongame Resources Division
Robert Love, Administrator Active marsh management is the primary responsibility of the Coastal & Nongame Resources Division. The division owns and is responsible for 12.5 percent of coastal Louisiana, which serves as test sites for marsh management strategies designed to stabilize isohaline lines, limit saline encroachment, reverse marsh deterioration, and provide productive wildlife habitat. In addition, management expertise and guidance is provided to private owners of considerably more marshland. Professional expertise is provided for the implementation of international, federal, and state legislation and regulations governing wise use of alligators, furbearers, coastal marshlands, and other important wildlife and fisheries resources.
- Wildlife Division
Kenny Ribbeck, Administrator The Wildlife Division is responsible for the state's wildlife conservation program and gathering biological data to properly manage wildlife resources. The Division manages 55 wildlife management areas containing over 1.3 million acres of land available for public outdoor recreation. Game species management programs include white-tailed deer, upland game, wild turkey, waterfowl, large carnivore, nuisance wildlife and wildlife disease monitoring. Additionally, Division personnel within the Education section provide instruction in hunter safety and outdoor activities; and Forestry management specialists provide assistance to private landowners seeking assistance with land management.
- Fur and Alligator Advisory Council
Edmond Mouton, Director The Fur and Alligator Advisory Council supports programs ensuring a stable future for the state's fur and alligator industries. The major goals of the Council are education of the public concerning the role of trapping in wildlife conservation and market stabilization and enhancement for Louisiana's fur and alligator products.

The Office of Fisheries is comprised of two divisions, Marine Fisheries and Inland Fisheries.
- Marine Fisheries Division
Karen Foote, Administrator The Marine Fisheries Division is charged with management of the full range of Louisiana's marine resources.
- Inland Fisheries Division
Gary Tilyou, Administrator The Inland Fisheries Division manages fish populations and habitats for the conservation and improvement of recreational and commercial fishing primarily in freshwater areas of the state.
