Best Management Practices (BMPs) are methods or technologies that, if correctly applied, are effective at minimizing adverse impacts of development activities. Using BMPs when conducting development activities adjacent to Scenic Rivers can ensure that wilderness qualities, scenic beauties and ecological regimes of streams and riparian areas are preserved, protected and enhanced.
