Eastern Narrow-Mouthed Toad (Gastrophryne carolinensis)

The tiny eastern narrow-mouthed toad is found statewide and calls in the late spring and summer. It sounds like a weak version of Woodlouse?s toad or like some kind of electric buzzer. Here is the eastern narrow-mouthed toad with gulf-coast toads and gray and green treefrogs in the background.
