L.D.W.F. EMPLOYEE RELIEF FUND PLANS CHRISTMAS DISTRIBUTION

Anyone wishing to contribute to the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) Employee Relief Fund in time for the December distribution of funds should do so by Friday, Dec. 9.


The relief fund is for the many LDWF personnel and their families who worked in the affected areas and were displaced from their homes and suffered losses as the result of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.  Funds will help assist employees with housing, clothing and other items lost during the hurricanes as well as make for happier holidays after a year of misfortune.


This will be the second distribution from the fund for the affected families.  People who cannot donate money in time for the December distribution can still contribute to the fund at their earliest convenience.


All of the employees are extremely grateful for the generous support they have received, said Sandy Trahan of LDWF.  This fund is helping our displaced employees get back on their feet. 


Anyone who wishes to donate to the fund should contact Hibernia National Bank with the following account information: LDWF EMPLOYEE RELIEF FUND (Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries Foundation), or mail a check to Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries Foundation, Attn:  John Campbell, P.O. Box 2471, Baton Rouge, LA  70821 or by personal delivery to Sandy Trahan located in room 232 of the LDWF headquarters building at 2000 Quail Dr. Baton Rouge, LA.  Donors should designate on the check that it is for the LDWF Employee Relief Fund.
