The Aqautic Invasive Species Council and Advisory Task Force will meet at 9 a.m. on Thursday, June 28, 2007 in the Louisiana Room of the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) headquarters building in Baton Rouge.
Agenda items for this meeting will include:
1) A presentation by Maritime Administration and subsequent discussion regarding their program for disposal of obsolete government ships in Louisiana,
2) An update regarding the recent detection of crawfish infected with the white spot virus, and
3) The funding now available from the National Aquatic Nuisance Species Task Force to implement aspects of the management plan.
LDWF headquarters is located at 2000 Quail Drive in Baton Rouge. This meeting is open to the public.
