BASS ANGLER LICENSE PLATE NOW AVAILABLE

Release Date: 01/14/2008

Bass fishing enthusiasts can now accessorize their vehicle or boat trailer with a new Bass Angler License Plate through the Louisiana Office of Motor Vehicles (OMV).

The Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries Foundation (LWFF) in conjunction with the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) created the Bass Angler License Plate to help fund the LDWF black bass stocking program.

The plates feature a Louisiana largemouth black bass jumping out of the water set against a half water and sky background.  The words "Bass Angler" are centered at the bottom of the plate.

Bass Angler License Plates can be purchased at your local Louisiana OMV or on their Web site at http://omv.dps.state.la.us by going to the "Special Plates" link.

The plates are available for $26 each for vehicles and boat trailers in addition to the regular license fee.
