Wycoff Road in Richard K. Yancey Wildlife Management Area Closed Due to Hazardous Conditions

Nov. 29, 2017 – Wycoff Road in Richard K. Yancey Wildlife Management Area (WMA) has been closed due to hazardous conditions, the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) announced. The road is closed just beyond the boundary of the private property on Wycoff Road, which leads to Hog Pen Lake, Ross Road, Lower Sunk Lake and Silver Lakes.
 
The road bed has caved next to the river and is a hazard for traffic. Upon repair, LDWF will reopen the road.
 
Richard K. Yancey WMA, which consists of 70,872 acres in Concordia Parish, lies between the Mississippi and Red rivers, beginning north of Lower Old River.
