Bridge Repair Work on La. Hwy. 975 South Forces Detour to Northern End of Sherburne WMA

May 11, 2018 – Users of the northern end of Sherburne Wildlife Management Area (WMA) will need to use U.S. Highway 190 to access the area due to bridge repair work on Louisiana Highway 975 South between I-10 and Sherburne WMA.
 
That includes those planning to attend Saturday’s (May 12) Step Outside Day, an outdoor program hosted by the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) at Sherburne WMA. The bridge being repaired is four miles north of Interstate 10.
 
To access Sherburne WMA headquarters, where Step Outside Day will be held, take U.S. Highway 190 to the Sherburne exit on Louisiana Highway 975 and drive south approximately three miles. The venue will be on the left near Big Alabama Bayou.
