The Louisiana Environmental Education Commission is extending the deadline for its Student Art and Language Arts Contest to accommodate individuals whose spring break and testing schedules have prevented them from participating. We will now accept entries postmarked no later than May 5, 2014.
It is the Commission's desire to give all of Louisiana’s student artists and writers an opportunity to compete in this exciting contest.
As a reminder, students can win $200 for a first place entry in their category, $100 for second place and $75 for third place. Winners are also invited to a reception at the Louisiana Governor’s Mansion. Finally, the winning entries will be placed on billboards or in newspapers in the winners’ communities.
Please see the contest website, http://www.wlf.louisiana.gov/louisianas-environmental-awareness-student-art-language-arts-contest, for rules, and download the official entry form at http://www.wlf.louisiana.gov/sites/default/files/pdf/page/33526-louisianas-environmental-awareness-student-art-language-arts-contest/salaform2.pdf.
