LEEC eNews Bulletin: Call for Environmental Education State Symposium Exhibitors and Presenters

On February 23-24, 2018, the Louisiana Environmental Education Commission will host the Louisiana Environmental Education State Symposium at the Baton Rouge Marriott, 5500 Hilton Ave in Baton Rouge. This year's theme is "Green STEM," which aims to teach students about environmentally-focused science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
Exhibitors: Our target audience will include classroom teachers, pre-service teachers, and non-formal educators and our emphasis this year will be placed on engaging teachers and students in science-based careers. The deadline for exhibitor registrations is Friday, January 19, 2018. Please find the registration form at http://www.wlf.louisiana.gov/webform/2018-exhibitor-registration
Presenters: Do you have a hands-on workshop, lesson activities, or exemplary program that you would like to share with environmental educators? Particularly one that incorporates the outdoor learning experience? Consider presenting at the upcoming 2018 Environmental Education State Symposium. Help teachers by giving them the tools necessary to conduct quality environmental lessons. We find that teachers love presentations made by fellow teachers, so if you are a classroom teacher with an innovative lesson, please consider using the symposium as a way to reach a larger audience of students and inform your peers about the great things you're doing in your classroom. The deadline for proposals is Friday, December 8, 2017. Visit http://www.wlf.louisiana.gov/2018-presenter-form to submit a session proposal.
