The 29th Annual Meeting of the Southeast Deer Study Group will be held in Baton Rouge from Feb. 26-28, 2006 at the Holiday Inn Select Executive Center.
Deer managers, biologists and researchers from throughout the southeast United States will meet to promote and refine management and research endeavors pertaining to white-tailed deer.
The meeting attracts professionals from state and federal agencies, university researchers, forest managers, timber companies, private landowners, hunters and other groups and individuals that have an interest in this important big game species.
The Office of Wildlife in the Wildlife Division of the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries will host the meeting. The meeting begins Sunday afternoon at 5 p.m. Registration for the meeting opens at 1 p.m. at the Holiday Inn Conference Center, or to register in advance contact David Moreland at 225-765-2348.
