Assistance Programs to Rehabilitate the Fisheries Resources (Supplemental Appropriation #1)
Per the Congressional appropriation, the eligible jobs include:

Job 1: Reseeding, Rehabilitating, and Restoring Oyster Reefs Programs to assist with the rehabilitation of private oyster leases and public oyster grounds in Louisiana: Program includes:
Private Oyster Lease Rehabilitation (POLR) Program
Public Oyster Seed Ground Rehabilitation

Job 2: Rehabilitating Oyster Bed and Shrimp Grounds Programs to assist with debris clean-up and habitat improvement and recovery on the historic fishing grounds in Louisiana. Program includes:
Debris Removal from Traditional Fishing Grounds (LDWF project pictures)
The Department of Natural Resources (DNR) has a program that identifies, documents, and removes marine debris caused by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. The Louisiana Marine Debris Removal Program is also supported by the following: Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), U.S. Coast Guard and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). |

Cooperative Research Program-Fishermen and Dealer Surveys-April 17, 2009 Program's aimed at assisting recovery of Louisiana's commercial fisheries through cooperative reseach conducted by the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries and the commercial fishing industry. Eligibility is based on participants having held a Louisiana resident commercial fishing license or wholesale/retail dealer license in 2008 and trip ticket landings/purchases between September 1, 2005 and August 31, 2008. All applicable forms must be returned and postmarked no later than June 30, 2009.
