ANIMAL HUNTING PROGRAMS >> LIVESTOCKALTERNATIVE LIVESTOCK
The Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry (LDAF) is responsible for the Alternative Livestock program in Louisiana. The program involves commercial deer farms. Program biologists have the responsibility of inspecting these farms to insure that the enclosure contains no wild deer and that the commercial activities will not adversely impact native white-tailed deer in the vicinity of these pens. Farms with at least 150 acres but no more than 2,500 acres may be hunted. |
