The Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries Commission gave final approval to a notice of intent (NOI) to establish regulations for ecotours on Pearl River and Maurepas Swamp Wildlife Management Areas (WMAs). The action came during the Commission’s May meeting Thursday (May 2) in Baton Rouge.
The NOI will establish a process whereby permitted ecotours would be allowed in order to provide this activity in a manner consistent with and conducive to WMA management.
