There are other resident game birds that can be harvested in Louisiana, including crows, blackbirds, cowbirds, grackles, and pheasants. Louisiana allows the take of crows, blackbirds, cowbirds, and grackles from September 1 through January 1 with no daily limit. However, these species may also be taken year-round during legal shooting hours under some circumstances. Take of pheasant is permitted during quail season.
Wolf Bay Campground in West Bay WMA Closed Until Further Notice
The Wolf Bay Campground located off Louisiana Highway 112 in West Bay Wildlife Management Area (WMA) in Allen Parish is closed until further notice, the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) announced. The campground suffered serious tree damage during Hurricane Laura.
