If you witness or have information concerning a violation, call the Operation Game Thief toll-free, 24-hour line at 800.442.2511. An operator will take your information and immediately relay it to a law enforcement agent who will further investigate. If the information results in an arrest, you may be eligible for a cash reward.

Created in 1984, Operation Game Thief is a nonprofit corporation, funded and managed by volunteer sportsmen throughout the state. They meet quarterly to review wildlife violation cases resulting from information provided by program participants and to determine and dispense reward amounts to these informants. Since the program began, information provided by Operation Game Thief informants has resulted in the apprehension of more than 700 violators, who have ben convicted on numerous state and federal charges. Nearly $447,000 in rewards has been paid to informants.

All tips sent through tip411 are anonymous. CitizenObserver, the tip411 provider, uses technology that removes all identifying information before we receive the text so we cannot identify the sender.
