Bogue Chitto
Bogue Chitto WMA includes approximately 6.5 miles of riverfront along the Bogue Chitto, with extensive bottomland forests and rugged forested hills. The Bogue Chitto River and its river bottoms provide habitat for many wildlife species, including popular game species like deer, wild turkey, and squirrel, as well as many non-game species. The bottomlands include a number of small lakes as well as the Bogue Chitto River itself, which is popular for fishing, paddling, and swimming.

Hunting and Trapping
Archery only deer hunting is available. Other game species include waterfowl and small game. Learn more about hunting seasons on this WMA.
Fishing and Non-Consumptive Use
Recreational fishing is available for largemouth bass, crappie, bream, and crawfish. This WMA also offers berry-picking, birding, boating, canoeing, paddling, photography, and wildlife viewing opportunities.

Directions
Bogue Chitto WMA is located approximately 11 miles south of Franklinton. Access to the WMA is located on Louisiana Highway 437, 1.5 miles south of Enon.
