This free boating course usually lasts between 6 and 8 hours. Participants usually complete the course in one day. The course includes information on choosing a boat, classification, hulls, motors, legal and equipment requirements, navigation rules, navigation charts, trailering, sailboats, and related subjects that include canoeing, personal watercraft and more. Participants who complete the course will receive a Boater Education Certificate.

Building is elevated with screened-in ground level, white with blue roof. Pizza and soft drinks are provided for lunch at no cost to students.Class usually ends before 4PM. You must pre-register for this class on the Louisiana Dept. of Wildlife and Fisheries website or we will not be able to mark you as having completed the class.
