This free boating course usually lasts between 6 and 8 hours. Participants usually complete the course in one day. The course includes information on choosing a boat, classification, hulls, motors, legal and equipment requirements, navigation rules, navigation charts, trailering, sailboats, and related subjects that include canoeing, personal watercraft and more. Participants who complete the course will receive a Boater Education Certificate.

This course will be held within the Garden/BBQ area in the back of the store. FREE JAMBALAYA WILL BE COOKED ON SITE FOR LUNCH FOR ALL STUDENTS. Those students not wishing to eat this may bring a bag lunch, or provide means to get lunch locally during the provided lunch break. Drinks and snacks are encouraged during the course. The course includes information on choosing a boat, classification, hulls, motors, legal and equipment requirements, navigation rules, navigation charts, trailering, sailboats, and related subjects that include canoeing, personal watercraft and more. A permanent certification will be emailed to the email address used at registration in approximately 2 weeks. Parents will not be allowed into the classroom during instruction unless registered to take the class themselves.
