This 2-hour course will be geared towards both beginners and rusty anglers looking to gain enough knowledge to confidently fish on their own. Participants will learn core fishing skills including simple but versatile rigging, bait, and gear selection, followed by an hour of fishing with LDWF staff. A valid Louisiana fishing license is required for participants 18 years and older.
Additional Information
This course is open to participants 16 & older. Participants should bring plenty of water, a valid LA fishing license for those 18 & older, and dress appropriately for the weather. Fishing gear will be provided, but participants are encouraged to bring their own to learn how to use it for future use. This program may be affected by inclement weather conditions. In such cases, the instructor will notify you as soon as possible.
