The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) will hold a public meeting to discuss its proposed changes to the 2026-28 hunting regulation notices of intent (NOI) on Thursday (Feb. 26) at 6:30 p.m. via Zoom.

The Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries Commission (LWFC) adopted notices of intent for the 2026-27 and 2027-28 hunting seasons, 2026-27 general and Wildlife Management Areas (WMA) hunting seasons and rules and regulations, 2027 general and WMA turkey hunting season and rules and regulations, and 2026-27 migratory bird hunting season and rules and regulations at its January meeting. The LWFC also adopted several amendments to the NOI at its February meeting.

Public comment will be accepted through 4 p.m. on March 6, 2026. It will also be accepted at LWFC monthly meetings through March 5, 2026.
