This format is recommended for students 14 years of age and older. This online with field day format consists of two parts: an online class that can be taken at the student’s own pace, followed by a 5-hour field-day class. The online portion of this course costs $34.95 through the online course provider. You MUST print, sign, and bring proof of online course completion with you to the field day.

This home-study format consists of two parts: an online class, followed by a 4-hour Field Day course. All students must complete the online portion prior to the Field Day course scheduled, and bring the online certificate of completion printed and signed to attend Field Day training to be certified. The Field Day course is to ensure students can demonstrate proper firearm handling skills in a safe and respectful manner. Participants who complete and pass the field day training will be certified the same day with a temporary Hunter's Safety Education Certificate. A permanent certification will be emailed to the email address used at registration in approximately 2 weeks. You must attend the entire course. The course will include a 50 question T/F test and live fire session. Students are NOT to bring any firearms to the course. All firearms and other materials will be provided.
