Hunter Ed Instructor Class - Webster

Courses are taught by LDWF Education Program staff and volunteer instructors. The majority of courses are taught by volunteers who donate their time to teach hunter education. Volunteers undergo background checks and receive training and oversight from LDWF staff. Requirements for Becoming a Hunter Education Instructor • Be of reputable character • Attend a 12 hour instructor training course • Complete livefire exercises • Pass a written exam • Undergo a criminal background check • Teach or assist in teaching one course every 24 months. Additional Information Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries will be conducting a Hunter Education Instructor course at the Minden Office. This course is designed specifically for the training of Hunter Education Instructors and is NOT INTENDED FOR INDIVIDUALS SEEKING ONLY A BASIC HUNTER EDUCATION CERTIFICATION. Participants must attend both days of the course to get their certification.
