Hunter Ed Class - Webster

This format is a 10-hour classroom course that is usually held over 2-3 days. We cover firearm and hunting safety, wildlife management principles, ethics, game identification and outdoor survival. Students must successfully complete a live-fire exercise with both formats. Firearms and ammunition are provided for the live-fire exercise so students should not bring their own. Additional Information Louisiana Hunter Education Class: This free course, offered by the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries, teaches safe and responsible hunting practices. Required for anyone born on or after September 1, 1969, it covers firearm safety, hunting laws, ethics, and wildlife conservation. Open to ages 10 and up. Upon successful completion, participants receive a lifetime Hunter Education Certification valid in all 50 states and Canada.
