The class will cover different types of commonly used tree stands. As well as safety gear required to use tree stands. A portion of the class will be held outside for tree stand set up demonstrations. This class will cover everything you need to know to set up and hunt from tree stands safely. This class will not cover saddles

Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries will be hosting a Tree Stand Safety course in Baton Rouge, LA - this course will be held at Waddill Refuge. A variety of topics will be discussed including a demonstration of lock-on stands, climbing stands, ladder stands, and hunting saddles.
