CCA Louisiana, CITGO, and LDWF to Construct Two New Artificial Reefs in Lake Charles / Big Lake

Lake Charles, La., Apr 23, 2026 - The Coastal Conservation Association of Louisiana (CCA Louisiana), CITGO, and the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) will hold a press conference on Monday, April 27, 2026, at 2:00 PM to announce the construction of two new nearshore artificial reefs along the Louisiana coast — both made possible through generous grant funding from CITGO and LDWF. Media, elected officials, CCA members, project partners, and the public are encouraged to attend.

CCA and LDWF’s collaborative artificial REEF programs.
