Hunter Ed Instructor Class -Lafayette

Courses are taught by LDWF Education Program staff and volunteer instructors. The majority of courses are taught by volunteers who donate their time to teach hunter education. Volunteers undergo background checks and receive training and oversight from LDWF staff. Requirements for Becoming a Hunter Education Instructor • Be of reputable character • Attend a 12 hour instructor training course • Complete livefire exercises • Pass a written exam • Undergo a criminal background check • Teach or assist in teaching one course every 24 months. Additional Information Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries will be conducting a Hunter Education Instructor course at the Lafayette Field Office. Those who wish to be a Hunter Education Instructor may attend this course in order to be certified. You must attend both days of the course to get your certification. You must be able to pass a background check to instruct Hunter Education. Lunch will be provided on Saturday. More info LDWF Lafayette Office
