Beginner Catfishing - Natchitoches

This 2-hour course will be geared towards participants with basic fishing knowledge or anglers who have completed an Intro to Fishing course and are 16 years & older. Participants will learn catfish species identification, basic fish behavior, proper fish handling, equipment overview, basic rigging, and bait selection, followed by an hour of fishing with LDWF staff.
Additional Information
Participants should bring plenty of water, a valid LA fishing license for those 18 & older, and dress appropriately for the weather. Fishing gear will be provided, but participants are encouraged to bring their own to learn how to use it for future use. This program may be affected by inclement weather conditions. In such cases, the instructor will notify you as soon as possible.
