Wolf Bay Campground in West Bay WMA Has Been Reopened, LDWF Announces

Wolf Bay Campground located off Louisiana Highway 112 in West Bay Wildlife Management Area (WMA) has been reopened, LDWF announced. The campground was closed due to tree damage from Hurricane Laura in August that has since been removed.

LDWF Announces Oyster Sack Limit Reduction in Calcasieu Lake Public Oyster Area

LDWF has announced that the daily take and possession limit of oysters shall not exceed 10 sacks in Calcasieu Lake Public Oyster Area effective one-half hour after sunrise next Friday (Oct. 30, 2020). Biological data collected post hurricanes Laura and Delta have indicated reduced oyster stocks in Calcasieu Lake.
