Geaux Play Outdoors’ Bird The Boot Challenge Begins May 15
Baton Rouge, - The Bird the Boot Challenge, presented by Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) Geaux Play Outdoors program, will begin Friday (May 15). The challenge encourages birdwatchers throughout the state to get outside and enjoy bird watching on LDWF managed lands.
The event is open to anyone, whether a seasoned birder, a novice or someone who wants to get started in birding. The challenge begins Friday (May 15) and runs through June 1 with submissions due June 12.
There are three challenge categories in which to compete and all offer prizes. The three challenge categories are House Wrens (Backyard Birding), Feather Finders and Eagle Eyes. The challenge is designed to accommodate the backyard bird watcher or the birder wanting to explore LDWF’s managed lands.
