LDWF hosted a Family Fish Fest at Ivan Lake in Cotton Valley on September 10, 2016. Fisheries staff, US Army Corps of Engineers, local Fire Department, Stubborn Hicks Fishing Lures and LDWF volunteers all worked together to offer nearly 200 anglers and family members a fishing competition and numerous educational fishing activities.

Family Fish Fest is hosted in conjunction with the Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries Foundation.  The LWFF was formed to provide a means for individuals and corporations to become partners with the Department and Commission in the challenge of conserving Louisiana’s wildlife and fisheries resources.
