This free boating course usually lasts between 6 and 8 hours. Participants usually complete the course in one day. The course includes information on choosing a boat, classification, hulls, motors, legal and equipment requirements, navigation rules, navigation charts, trailering, sailboats, and related subjects that include canoeing, personal watercraft and more. Participants who complete the course will receive a Boater Education Certificate.
Special Instructions
This course is open and free to the public. If you register and see you realize that you cannot make the course, please email the instructor to let them know so that others can join the class. The class is designed to last 6-8 hours. A lunch break will not be given, but there are plenty of breaks. I recommend that you bring drinks and snacks to last for the duration of the class.
