Hunter Education Field Day - East Baton Rouge Parish

This home-study format consists of two parts: an online class, followed by a 4-hour Field Day course. All students must complete the online portion prior to the Field Day course scheduled, and bring the online certificate of completion printed and signed to attend Field Day training to be certified. The Field Day course is to ensure students can demonstrate proper firearm handling skills in a safe and respectful manner. Participants who complete and pass the field day training will be certified the same day with a temporary Hunter's Safety Education Certificate. A permanent certification will be emailed to the email address used at registration in approximately 2 weeks. Students are NOT to bring any firearms to the course. All firearms and other materials will be provided. Lunch will not be necessary for field day courses. Parents are asked to remain in their vehicles, or return to pick up their student after the class to allow seating for registered students. Parents will not be allowed into the classroom or on the range during instruction unless registered to take the class themselves.
