Correcting the dates announced Aug. 6 by the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries for the 2015-16 extended falconry season, the following dates are now posted on the department’s website.

 

Nov. 4 is the uniform start date for all extended falconry seasons noted below.

 

EXTENDED FALCONRY SEASONS FOR RAILS AND GALLINULES:

Statewide: Nov. 4 – Jan. 31

Sixteen (16) days of the total season lengths for rails, gallinules and extended falconry seasons were used during the September teal season.

 

EXTENDED FALCONRY SEASONS FOR DUCKS:

Coastal Zone: Nov. 4 – Jan. 31

West Zone: Nov. 4 – Jan. 31

East Zone: Nov. 4– Jan. 31
