Hunt Road on Dewey W. Wills Wildlife Management Area (WMA) has been reopened, the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) announced. However, tandem axle trucks are prohibited from using the road until further notice.
Sandy Bayou Road and Muddy Bayou Road on the WMA remain accessible only by ATV/UTV due to flooding. They will be opened once the water recedes and repairs are made.
Dewey W. Wills WMA is located in the southern portion of LaSalle and Catahoula parishes in central Louisiana approximately 20 miles northeast of Alexandria. For more information on the WMA, go to https://www.wlf.louisiana.gov/page/dewey-wills.
