Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) enforcement agents cited two Franklin Parish men on Dec. 14 for alleged deer hunting violations.

LDWF agents cited Davy A. Parker, 27, and Ethan R. Bass, 29, both of Winnsboro, for hunting deer during a closed season, hunting deer during illegal hours, over the daily limit of deer, over the season limit of deer, hunting deer from a moving vehicle, hunting deer from a public road, discharging a firearm from a public road and criminal trespassing.

Agents received a complaint of the subjects hunting deer at night.  During the investigation, agents discovered evidence that the subjects harvested a total of seven deer illegally with five of those being antlered deer.  Agents also learned that Parker and Bass were hunting on property they did not have permission to be on.

Agents seized two firearms and five sets of antlers.
