The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries has closed the following roads to vehicle traffic in the Richard K. Yancey Wildlife Management Area (WMA) due to flooding: Blount Road, Catfish Bayou Road, Dobbs Bay Road, Hogpen Road, Lac a Sostein Road, Goose Lake Road, Ross Road and Union Point Road.

The following ATV trails are also closed: Catfish Bayou Trail, Twin Lakes Trail, Icebox Trail, Everett Lake Trail, Chaney Lake Trail,  Elbo Trail, Patton Lake Drain Trail, Patton Lake Handicap Trail, Lincecum Trail, Jacks Bayou Trail, Blackhawk Trail, Bee Bayou Trail and Alligator Bayou Trail.

Increasing water levels in associated river systems and heavy rainfall has caused  flooding on these roads and trails. Other roads and trails could be closed as water continues to rise. Once the water recedes, LDWF will inspect, repair and reopen those thoroughfares when deemed safe for travel.
