The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries has reopened all roads in the Richard K. Yancey Wildlife Management Area (WMA) except for Lac-A-Sostien Road, Ross Road past the crowfoot, Dobbs Bay Road and all roads on the east side of the Mississippi River levee.
High water levels in associated river systems caused backwater flooding on those thoroughfares. Once the water recedes, LDWF will inspect, repair and reopen those roads when deemed safe for travel.
Richard K. Yancey WMA is located approximately 35 miles south of Ferriday on La. Hwy. 15 in lower Concordia Parish.
