The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) is excited to launch a new online customer portal designed to make it easier for customers to manage their boat registration renewals and request duplicates.

In regards to this launch, LDWF has identified that certain registered businesses and co-owner accounts do not have up-to-date personal or account information on file. To ensure uninterrupted access to LDWF’s new online services, these customers will receive an official postcard notice by mail requesting updated information. If you do not receive a postcard, this does not impact you. These post cards will be mailed the week of November 7th.

The postcard, titled “Official Notice to Registered Businesses and Co-owners,” will include instructions for securely submitting the necessary information through LDWF’s online system. Customers will have seven to ten business days from receipt of the postcard to provide the required updates.

Failure to submit updated information within this timeframe may result in temporary delays when renewing boat registrations or accessing other LDWF online services.

Customers who receive the postcard can update their information at https://louisiana-wildlife-fisheries.payitgov.com/form/boat-customer or by scanning the QR code on the postcard.

LDWF encourages all affected businesses and co-owners to act promptly once they receive the postcard to avoid any service interruptions.

For assistance or questions, please contact the LDWF Licensing Division at (225) 765-2898

“We are committed to making this transition to our new online system as smooth as possible for those businesses and customers without updated information,” said LDWF Secretary Tyler Bosworth. “Ensuring that customer information is accurate and up to date will help streamline boat registration renewals and improve access to our online services – allowing us the ability to modernize our practices.”

The announcement of this postcard mailing coincides with the rollout of LDWF’s new digital licensing and registration system, developed in partnership with PayIt. The new platform will offer customers a modern, secure, and user-friendly experience for managing their LDWF boat renewals and duplicates online.
