The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) has closed North Bayou Natchitoches Road at Grassy Lake Wildlife Management Area (WMA) as well as Bayou Natchitoches Road from the Bayou Des Sot Bridge to Smith Bay because of high water brought on by flooding.

The remaining portions of Bayou Natchitoches Road are expected to be closed Wednesday (Jan. 13). Cas Cas Road remains closed at this time.
Increasing water levels in associated river systems has caused backwater flooding on these thoroughfares to the extent where travel is unsafe.  Once the water recedes and necessary repairs have been made, vehicular traffic will be allowed.

Grassy Lake WMA is located in northeastern Avoyelles Parish, approximately 12 miles from Bordelonville.
