


The Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries Commission (LWFC) approved resolutions to add land to Salvador, Sandy Hollow and John Franks Wildlife Management Areas (WMAs) during its March meeting Thursday (March 3) in Baton Rouge.
The resolutions added 628.4 acres to Salvador WMA, 232 acres to John Franks WMA and 51.98 acres to Sandy Hollow WMA.

The added acres for Salvador WMA came from a donation from the Trust for Public Land in partnership with Restore the Earth Foundation and the Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries Foundation. The Sandy Hollow WMA acres were purchased from the Trust for Public Land. The land from John Franks WMA came from a supplemental agreement of license from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
