The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) would like to remind oyster harvesters that the public oyster areas within Vermilion/East and West Cote Blanche/Atchafalaya Bay Public Oyster Seed Grounds will close at one-half hour after sunset on Friday, May 30, 2025.  This area originally opened on October 14, 2024. With this closure, all public oyster areas in Louisiana will be closed, and the 2024-2025 public oyster season will be concluded.
