The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) has reopened some roads in the Dewey W. Wills Wildlife Management Area (WMA) to all traffic, including Hunt Road and Muddy Bayou Road from Hunt Road to Nolan Bayou Road.

Sandy Bayou Road and Muddy Bayou Road from Deville Crossing to Nolan Bayou Road remain closed while repairs are made. However, users can access Sandy Bayou Road with ATVs and UTVs.

The road closures were forced because of flooding in the area.

Dewey W. Wills WMA is located in the southern portion of LaSalle and Catahoula parishes in central Louisiana approximately 20 miles northeast of Alexandria. For more information on the WMA, go to http://www.wlf.louisiana.gov/wma/2753 .
