LDWF Lake Charles Office to Temporarily Close During Chennault Airshow Activities
Baton Rouge, - The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) Lake Charles Office, located at 1025 Tom Watson Road, will temporarily close to the public during portions of the Chennault International Airshow in August due to safety requirements associated with the event.
The office, facilities and parking areas must remain unoccupied during the Blue Angels demonstrations because they fall within a designated safety area required for airshow flight operations. As a result, LDWF will be unable to provide in-person services to members of the public during the temporary closures.
The LDWF Lake Charles Office will close to the public during the following times:
- Thursday, Aug. 27: Office closes at noon
- Friday, Aug. 28: Office closes at 3 p.m.
Normal office hours for the Lake Charles office are 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
Members of the public are encouraged to plan visits accordingly. LDWF appreciates the public’s understanding and cooperation as these temporary closures are necessary to support public safety.
