Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries enforcement agents located a lost hunter on Oct. 18 in Vernon Parish.

Agents were notified around 2:30 p.m. on Oct. 18 about a lost 73-year-old male in a remote area known as Camp Baker. The lost hunter notified 911 and stated he could not find his way back to his vehicle.

LDWF agents responded to the scene with the Vernon Parish Sheriff’s Office. LDWF agents located the lost hunter around 6:45 p.m. and transported him to his vehicle.

LDWF agents involved with the search were Sgt. James Smith, Sgt. Devin Bryant, Senior Agent Callie Pitre, Agent Kenneth Cheramie and Agent Michael Rick.
