With modernization, accessibility, and easier navigation as the primary objectives, the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) is pleased to announce the debut of its new website Thursday (April 16). The site will have several new features to enhance users’ ability in quickly finding what they need.
“Much effort has gone into the creation of our sleek, new, modernized website built to better serve the people of Louisiana,’’ LDWF Secretary Tyler Bosworth said. “We want to make it accessible and easy as possible for our sportsmen and women to find what they’re looking for when they visit us online, whether its via their phone, tablet, or desktop.’’
One of the improved tools with the site will be the “Contact Us” page. It features more contacts per division, making it simpler to find the subject matter expert on a given program. It also has greater Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compatibility that meets the upcoming required standards.
A few of the other features include:
- The programs and public assistance menu will be the primary hub for aiding and educating hunters, anglers and outdoor enthusiasts. This menu also includes educational materials and information on conservation and stewardship for any interest parties
- The navigation mega-menu with information groups to eliminate clicking and scrolling
- Enhanced search functionality on the homepage
- A fresh design to better present pertinent information and resources to the public.
