REMINDER: Vermilion/East and West Cote Blanche/Atchafalaya Bay Public Oyster Seed Grounds 2025-2026 Oyster Season to Close Wednesday, April 1, 2026

Baton Rouge, Mar 31, 2026 - The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) would like to remind oyster harvesters that the public oyster areas within Vermilion/East and West Cote Blanche/Atchafalaya Bay Public Oyster Seed Grounds will close at one-half hour after sunset on Wednesday, April 1, 2026.
