Welcome to Our New Website

Over the years, we’ve received feedback on our website, and we’re happy to announce that we’ve made strategic updates to enhance the user experience moving forward. These changes are meant to organize department information in a clearer, more intuitive manner and also allow users to find what they need faster. But don’t worry, you’ll still be able to access all of the information and tools you’ve come to expect from LDWF.

New Look, Same Features

The updated Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries website has the same trusted resources and tools you’re familiar with, but now with a refreshed and more comprehensive navigation, which includes:

Outdoor Activity

The outdoor activity menu allows website visitors quick access to information about their favorite outdoor activities.  Whether you are a hunter, angler, boater, shooter, or just looking to get outside, we have the information you need.

Programs & Public Assistance

Now located in the primary navigation, the programs and public assistance menu will be the primary hub for aiding and educating hunters, anglers and outdoor enthusiasts. This menu also includes educational materials and information on conservation and stewardship for any interest parties.

Education & Events

Still located in the main navigation, the education and events menu serves as the department’s gateway to special programs and events, required or optional outdoor education courses, non-consumptive conservation efforts, partnerships and grant funding opportunities.

Law Enforcement

The law enforcement menu, which is still included in the main navigation, includes links to information on laws and safety requirements, tools for reporting violations, contact information for local law enforcement offices and more.

Department Info

Now located in the primary navigation, the department information menu is a centralized location for agency-specific news, resources, contact information and media.
