Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries enforcement agents cited three subjects for alleged littering violations in Orleans and St. John the Baptist parishes on Nov. 14.

Agents cited Sindy Adela Caceres-Fuentes, 29, of New Orleans, Charles Keys, 60, of Slidell, and Ignacio Murilla, 48, of Gretna, for gross littering.

Agents were on a litter enforcement patrol in Orleans and St. John parishes on Nov. 14 when they found three separate large litter piles.

Agents located a large litter pile near Michoud Blvd. in New Orleans and found items that linked Caceres-Funetes to the litter.  Agents then located another large litter pile and found items that belonged to Keys near Almonaster Ave in New Orleans.  Agents also investigated a previously located litter pile on Highway 51 near Laplace and found items belonging to Murilla.

Gross littering carries up to a $900 fine, up to 30 days in jail and 16 hours of community service in a litter abatement program.

Agents participating in these investigations are Agent Mason Castello and Senior Agent Salvador Mangano.
