Elmer's Island will remain closed until further notice due to damages sustained from Hurricane Ida.

The Refuge will reopen once it is safe for the public to access the property.

The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries is charged with managing and protecting Louisiana’s abundant natural resources.
